It may seem that all buildings and man-made structures are elements added to nature, and there is a distance between their parts and the parts of nature. In modern buildings, this happens, so that awkward patches of opposition between man and the environment are seen. But in old buildings, this harmony and communion seem to be seen to a surprising extent. In my view, ancient buildings share many similarities with human forms and the subtleties that humans appreciate. This is the Golpayegan Minaret, a nationally registered monument, and across the street from it, in the direction of the Golpayegan Bazaar, is another nationally registered monument. The traffic of cars and closed shops on a holiday, and the setting of the minaret in the blue sky, gave me the feeling of being on the border between the past and the future.
