The curve of a river leading to a mountain is somewhat of a classic composition. I wanted to express my take on a classic by fitting the two subjects on a two-dimensional plane by incorporating the shadow of the mountain, instead of the mountain itself. This emphasizes the contrast and patterns created by the subjects rather than the identity of the subjects themselves.
