Natures Struggle of Life and Death

While gardening, I found this drama happening in the far end of the flower bed. The little garter snake seemed too small to be able to handle the toad. But amazingly it did, with this hold even when the toad made itself bloated, it never stood a chance. When I tried to help the toad , the snake bit down harder. Both were beneficial to my garden, but it still saddened me to see the toad succumb to its death.
