Navajo Coal-fired Power Plant Near Lake Powell in Arizona Ready for Decommission

Lake Powell is a beautiful reservoir on the Colorado River across Arizona and Utah. The nearby Navajo Power Plant, fired by coal, has been in business for decades. The polluted smoke emitted from the power plant formed dark clouds that was in stark contrast to the turquoise water. Upon research, I was very glad to know it will be decommissioned this year.
