Navajo Women Rest in the Hogan During a Maturation Ceremony
Two Navajo (Diné) women rest in the family hogan - one against the wall, and one in the doorway - during a kinaaldá, or maturation ceremony for a girl, which lasts nearly a week and begins each day before the sun rises.
