Navigating An Amazonian River

36 yr-old Jesus Mozombite, a Peruvian captain navigating the Fierro River during the start of the wet season, en route to Yomibato Native Community, the most-remote community in the restricted area of Manú NP. For Jesús, when he travels during the wet months (Nov-Mar) the journey takes him 8hrs; during the drier months (Jun-Oct) the same trip can take him 2wks. Nowadays, wet season is much less water and shorter seasons; making the trip sometimes nearly impossible to complete.
