In the Cerrado, the second largest biome in South America, there also lives the Xavante indigenous people struggling to survive in the face of increasing change and progressive depletion of natural resources in the region. Sustainable tourism can ensure not only environmental protection, but also stimulate the traditional activities of people who holds the knowledge of the Cerrado.
