19th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest The American Experience
Next Generation Cowboy

In Judith Basin, Montana, cattle ranching is a way of life that's existed for over 140 years. The famous American artist C.M. Russell lived and cowboyed in Judith Basin and captured the lifestyle in many of him famous paintings of cowboys on the range. Our cowboys start young riding horses and learning to brand and doctor cattle in the same way it's been done for generations. Every piece of young Sage's gear has a purpose from his leather chinks to his silk scarf to protect him from the rigors of working cattle and the elements of Central Montana weather.
