Influenced by the culture of Amsterdam, I freed myself from dogmas for a sharp, exposed picture and explored the recesses of my mind, imagining new potential in light, shapes and colors. Following in the steps of impressionist painters like Van Gough, I used the camera as a paintbrush to create this work.
