NIGHT DRINK
Pallas's Long-Tongued Bat (Glossophaga soricina) approaching a banana blossom for nectar drinking. These bats are commonly found in the rain forests of Costa Rica and surrounding areas. By being nocturnal, these bats are mostly active at night. For some reason bats have suffered from bad reputation for many years, and many people are afraid of them and dislike them. I wanted to show in this image, their beauty and their important role in nature. They are important pollinators for many plants and are crucial to our planet. Boca Tapada, Northern Lowlands, COSTA RICA.
