Did you know that black skimmers are night hunters? Yes they are. They do most of the hunting in the night. But they can catch fish in broad day light too especially when they didn't get enough in the night. This one got a large fish and was chased by another one who didn't want to fish for his own. This was in breeding season. Parents catch fish to feed their young.
