14th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Night In The Wildernessss

The photo was taken at the Crater Of The Moon National Monument. During the vocanic eruption long time ago some of the trees were affected and this is one of the trees that burried alive during the eruption. It is very beautiful and because we were there ngiht time I wandered around and do the star trails in this place. I just want to show to the world that this photo shows the beauty of the night and if we help prevent light pollution we can see how beautiful our world at night.
