Night of Inthar Fishermen

On the serene waters of Inle Lake in Shan State, Myanmar, local fishermen gather at night, their lanterns and headlamps glowing through the mist. While most people recognize the famous Inthar fishermen for their graceful leg-rowing and large bamboo nets, this image reveals a quieter, lesser-seen side of their lives. In the darkness, they continue to fish with small hand nets, blending tradition with subtle touches of modern life. The soft light, smoke, and reflections create a mystical atmosphere — a reminder of how these fishermen adapt to change while preserving their heritage.
