Night Shining

At the start of the global pandemic, I challenged myself to a project of getting out monthly to shoot something in the night sky and thereby learn new skills (all while social distancing:). Not only did I learn new skills, I also learned about phenomena that were new to me: Noctilucent Clouds (also known as night shining clouds) as well as comets. This image is a convergence of noctilucent clouds and comet NEOWISE, shot around midnight.
