Night vist to Kathrine Dulin Folger Rose Garden

Most private formal gardens are not accessible past sunset. As a nocturnal garden photographer this poses challenges. I recently discovered the beautiful and accessible Kathrine Dulin Folger Rose Garden in front of the Smithsonian Castle. I photographed this garden at night because I wanted to show the huge tonal shift in experiencing the garden at night. The flowers are just as beautiful and are even more dramatically enhanced by the contrast of the night sky.
