Hamlets around Benkovac - Zadar's hinterland - are completely abandoned. All the inhabitants fled because of war between Croatians and Serbs in Croatia. The church with the graveyard on the photo is placed on the hill above one of the hamlets which was burned to the ground. There are no masses in the church no more. She stands as a reminder that once people lived here.
