A couple sleeps during the day amidst city infrastructure. As the opioid epidemic worsens in the US I am seeing more people sleeping during the day, struggling to stay awake, and lacking basic needs. As I photographed I thought the young man was looking at me but then saw that his eye was missing. That disturbed me further.
