Nomadic woman

The nomads of the Khorasan region in Iran are still nomadic. Their occupation is animal husbandry (sheep). They live a hard life. They live in a tent (black tent) woven with goat wool. They use the river for bathing and toilet. In this way of life, men and women work hard together. Shepherding is the duty of the men of the family, and milking, preparing products, and cooking are the duties of the women of the family. The income from milk products goes to the women, and the income from selling sheep goes to the men. Usually, each woman has a chest and hangs the key to the chest around her neck.
