In the far north of Norway lies Nordkapp, 71°10′21″N 25°47′04″E, within the Arctic Circle about 2000km from the North Pole.This is where the Norwegian Sea meets the Barents Sea. The Globe Monument sits atop the 307 metre high cliff and visitors gather here to take in the view and consider the vastness of the Arctic Circle that lays before them. The cliff top is often shrouded in fog, as it was on my visit, however this didn't deter visitors from trekking out to the monument.
