There are few places where light and water color each other as they do with sunrises over Lake Superior as seen from Minnesota's North Shore. Nearly ever morning for a year that I lived very near to the rocky beach of Lake Superior in Duluth, MN, I would walk down with a cup of coffee and my camera and watch the sun rise. With the eagles and seagulls, foxes and waking little city built on a hill a few miles to the south, it was an extraordinary moment each time the sun circled above the cold and clear water horizon.
