When the police officer's unlawful strangulation of George Floyd made the internet spiral, protesting to stop the injustice of police to the race of color has laid lots of people in the street and it's taking place in our town of Yreka. With the harmonic yelling, I can tell that the locals have gathered at the Miner Street Baseball Field, which's a block behind my house. It attracted my mom and I's attention to go to see what was it like to witness a protest. We drove by our friend's house, which is wide and white with a green roof, parking across the diamond. Police laid a few grounds on the street where we parked, looking by the hold of their arms across the group. They sit at the green cement stairs, surrounding the fence which guards the cutlet of the diamond to where people can come up one at a time to speak. They hold flat signs high, some rest up, and some are holding on to their sides. They contain the need for acceptance and to stop discrimination among races. George Floyd in the incident symbolized the victims' deal with no-warrant arrests, police breaking up the things that are in their hearts and soul, no clear and present danger among the bodies' minds, and police nailing their bullets in their lives, all because of the color painted on their skin and what they'd own since birth. I went inside to where the speaker is centered giving speeches, I took my iPhone to capture what happened that day. I was captured by a sign with the phrase "Not a Riot, a REVOLUTION" with LOVE being reversed in the word and colored with the symbol of love. Placed with a simple heart with BLM at the bottom. It gives a powerful need for acceptance by the people despite their skin color. They don't want violence by the police, they need peace and no harm.
