16th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Altered Images
Not from here
Digital photography collage created during a residency in Deauville, France. The theme of the photo revolves around the transformations, limitations and emotions that a person can go through when encountering an unknown environment - from the urge to adapt, to uneasiness and unbelongingness. The black costume is meant to symbolize the "skin" we dress ourselves in to protect from what we do not know and, therefore, cannot control.
