Notre Dame Children's Art and Storm
This was my first visit to Paris and Notre Dame since the tragic fire there. I was not prepared for the incredible "fencing" arund the cathedral, which features are from children around the world. The diocese asked kids to draw what Notre Dame means to them. The images are wonderful. Some show the fire, but many show the future and are adorned with angels and rebuilt spires. I thought it appropriate that the sky was black to harken back to the fire. A contrast to the light and hope expressed by children and the dozens of people walking by.
