The people who resurrected to magical realism. New Venice is a palafito town of the Marsh of Santa Marta, between Cartagena and Santa Marta, main cities of the Colombian Caribbean. Its 3,000 inhabitants live isolated from tourism and life that are generated on the asphalt. To all the places of this population it is necessary to be transferred in boat, so the children learn a comment before a walk, the school buses are canoes and each house is an island. Its origin responds to several centuries ago, but the denomination that sister with the Italian city takes a few decades. An approach to the place revives the magical realism and connects with the resurrection of a place in full change that overcame a slaughter of paramilitaries in 2001.
