Nuns Island

Sunrise lights up the world's largest community of nuns. Ya-qing temple, located in western sichuan, China, is an influential large temple in Tibetan areas. The small island surrounded by changqu river is the largest Nuns community in the world, with more than 20,000 rooms built by practitioners themselves. Nuns island of the Yarchen Gar (Yaqing si) ,4000 meters above sea level. with an estimated more than 20,000 Sangha members now, it's the largest concentration of nuns and monks in the world. The majority of members are nuns.
