The nurses' memorial in Washington, DC, is located by the Vietnam Memorial. There are three nurses and a wounded soldier. The nurses are in different poses around the sculpture. As you approach the work, you clearly see two of the nurses and the wounded soldier, but not the third. She is on the backside of the work. It seems as if she is praying. I zoomed in on her covered in snow, as it may be sometimes in battle. Covered with snow, mud, or other things, the nurses in battle are sometimes unsung heroes. This photo captures the struggle beyond the original artistic expectations.
