I was visiting the Aburi Botanical Gardens when the guide showed us this nutmeg seed that had recently fallen from the tree. The guide explained that these trees were brought to Ghana when it was still a British Colony, and are a remnant of British elites attempting to cultivate the fauna in Ghana with spices and fruits they were familiar with.
