Endangered Oahu 'Elepaio in the Lemon Eucalyptus Forest

Here is a male Oahu 'Elepaio endemic to its island namesake (Oahu) in Hawaii. These birds are endangered with only around 1000 left. Due to different problems like Avian Malaria, these birds live in High Elevation forests on the island. This 'Elepaio in particular appeared to be foraging as it was hopping from tree to tree. This bird is vital to the ecosystem controlling insect and invertebrate populations along with being seed dispersers.
