13th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Travel
Observing the caverns.
My girlfriend and I visited Carlsbad Caverns during a road trip this summer. It is an amazing place 800 ft below ground! There are small panels that describe different rock formations around the caverns. The one she is standing in front of is lighting her up in the dark cave.
