Of worlds lost & friends forgotten

Magritte died in 1967, and the 55 years since have swept away every remnant of the secluded world that spawned him, and by extension, his work. True, those worlds are now lost forever, but if you concentrate hard, you can imagine hearing echoes of friends you have forgotten, or perhaps, never even knew at all.
