'Ohi'a Lehua awaken by the sunrise

It is amazing the amount of flora that is found around the Halema'uma'u Crater. At the lookout next to the Jagger Museum we found the Ohia tree casually growing next to the stone wall. The Ohi'a Lehua blossom is sacred and tied to Pele, the Hawaiian goddess.
