Olive Ridley Turtle (Golfina)

This image shows an olive ridley sea turtle, the most beautiful specimen in my opinion alongside the hawksbill turtle. This huge sea turtle is in danger of extinction since, together with hawksbill turtles, they were widely used in cosmetics, jewelry, and fashion accessories. This specimen is found in the Mexican Turtle Center, in the coastal town in southern Mexico in the state of Oaxaca, Mazunte. This museum exhibits various types and keeps them in a favorable environment. The center is financed with entrance fees to the museum and carries out activities such as releasing small turtles that have been born in captivity and integrating them into the sea, into their habitat.
