On Alert Chipmunk

Just another summer day in Rocky Mountain National Park watching the chipmunks and ground squirrels race along the rocky overlooks. Sadly, the Lesser Chipmunks, along with the ground squirrels and few songbird, are fed by so many visitors to the park. Despite the warnings and signs, they continue to be fed by humans. This is no good as it disturbs their ability to forage in winter and can make them very sick. Even still, this Lesser Chipmunk kept coming back, kept stopping on the rocks and posed for a few shots! They're found all over the park, but I just love to find them in those special areas where I know I'll get a good shot!
