On Deaf Ears

Being born deaf, I used to relish the morning time having my coffee and enjoying the permeating light while delaying the turning on of my hearing aids as long as possible. Now with a child that's a hard feat to accomplish. So when my wife and I were on vacation in South Africa, on the game reserve, I made sure to rise early and reclaim my mornings, with my hearing aids out, while my wife slept nearby in the hut you see here.
