The photo is showing two of my friends from a collective I'm a part of. The collective is situated within an occupied building that provides a space for individuals situating themselves within the fields of underground music and art as well as politics. I wanted to play with the contrast of the building we're a part of in relation to a big five star hotel next to it so I choose to photograph from the roof and capture the atmosphere of both of these spaces within one frame. I consider this image to be a strong indicator to the social class structure that is also incredibly present in today's world and also how the non-comercial art and culture scene and people within it are positioned today in relation to other fields.
