On The Streets Of Bukavu

An advertisement of a hairdresser for men on the streets of Bukavu. The 'VIP Salon' has on its walls a painting with the face of Patrice Lumumba (left) and Nelson Mandela (right). Mandela symbolized the anti-apartheid struggle in South Africa and died at age 95 in 2013; Lumumba was the father of the independence of the Belgian Congo and prime minister of the newly independent country having been assassinated in 1961.
