As they say it is not the destination but the journey. In this case our ultimate destinations were Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. As we drove through this section of California however, we realized there were much more to see than we signed up for. We also reminded ourselves one more time the importance of natural resources and forests as the smoke from nearby fires filled the air.
