"One" by Lewis Derogene aka PhenomenaLewis June 2023 Self-Portrait Digital Photography 31.22in X 20in I remember when I photographed this piece. I placed my camera on the ground near my bed, grabbed my bedsheet to wrap around myself and started dancing. I was playing afro-jazz and funk, and from that came out a collection of images I didn't use, until now. One is about feeling solidified, feeling complete. I usually feel complete when I get to see the sky that God created in all its glory whether that is the daytime or nighttime. Even though I don't have all the resources in the world to take a raw image to actually look like the final results, I use my skills in Photoshop to add myself in this scenery that I made by drawing over composite images. I worked on this piece since I first photographed it and I'm finally content with how it looks.
