15th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
One drop at a time.
Their is a beach in Iceland known as Diamond Beach. It gets this name from the icebergs, large and small, that escape from a glacier fed bay, littering it's shoreline. The changing tide brings new bits of the glacier to the shore everyday, where they wither away one drop at a time.
