There was a serenity and a minimalism to the coast on Isla Holbox in Mexico, punctuated and brought to life by the birds: pelicans, seagulls, cormorants, flamingos. Even the waves were calm and in control of themselves, almost dignified. Birds are the explorers and adventurers on this beach. This photo is my memory of a certain morning during my stay at Holbox.
