This is a detailed shot of the Great Sand Dunes National Park. I have always been captivated by the wave-sculpted ripples that form from generating oscillating flows that pick up sand grains and set them down in a process that eventually carves out troughs and grooves throughout the sand bed. This moment in time the light was just right to bring out the texture.
