Ottoman style ice cream vendor
This man was a living window in to Turkey's culture. Dressed in traditional Ottoman attire, he prepared ice cream on a classical rotisserie, which he shaved off with a massive butcher knife before carving it into an incredible rose with crushed pistachios and a cherry. He embodied the rich history of Turkey's clothing, food, and traditions- meeting him was like interacting with a human museum. His stand was positioned in a small alleyway inside a secluded wine village in Sirince, Turkey.
