12th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Altered Images
Out of Body
This photo composite was one of my first to layer multiple photos together into a cohesive image. I used myself as the subject and the background is outside next to my apartment complex. Simplistic is how I wanted to start, and I ended up creating this image which to me, speaks of the feeling I sometimes have of being caught between emotions. Making me feel as though I'm not truly in my body and seeing myself from the outside struggle with feeling good, and feeling off, not myself.
