In October, most tourists have left Tuscany. Piazzas bustling with life just a few month ago, now lay empty and eerie. In Montepulciano, wine harvest is just over and everything slows down. I was staying in nearby Montefollonico and took an early morning drive to capture some beautiful drone landscapes, but a heavy fog kept me on the ground so I decided to take a stroll in Montepulciano instead in pursuit for a nice cup of coffee. The Piazza Grande lay empty, but looked fantastic with all the tables and chairs disappearing in the mist.
