Overnighting Monarchs
One day in mid October I walked the trails of Rodman's Hollow Nature preserve on Block Island and I came across huge congregation of monarch butterflies. They were in a small section around and on the pine trees. I was very excited to see that in person and luckily, I had my camera with me, so I I capture many of different views. This is one of my favorite photographs I took that day. I went back to the same spot 2 evenings in the row, and soon after that they were gone. I guess it was time for migration.
