Overwhelmed
Three male American toads (Bufo americanus) attempt to amplex, or mate, with a female toad. When she lays their eggs, the toad in the ideal spot on her back with fertilize the eggs in the water. Nearby, dozens of other males are calling for mates. Males can sometime overwhelm females to the point that the females actually drown.
