Oxno - Mongolian Nomadic Herder

The Orkhon Valley - once the heart of Mongolia - has played an important role in history and is considered by many to be the cradle of the first Mongolian state. Today, nomadic families still live along the Orkhon River with their herds, maintaining a way of life similar to that of their ancestors in the 12th century. Oxno milks the yak in the morning. Milking is the women's job.
