Painted glass window on a former heroin den
Once a vibrant tourist haven in the early 20th century, Asbury Park, NJ experienced decay for the last 40 years. Amidst the heroin and crack dens, a soulful street art scene emerged and has been fueling redevelopment in recent years. This painted window on a former heroin den, and abandoned arcade along the boardwalk, demonstrates the city's former vibrance that survived its economic and social collapse.
