Palais-Royal covered passage flooded with summer light. The heat was so intense that not many people were walking in the garden of the Palais-Royal and the covered passages that border it. The shadows on the floor appeared to provide a structural complement to the beams and columns. I knew greyscale would be my choice to try to fully capture this effect.
