Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, seen through wavy antique glass
I toured Florence this spring with Road Scholar, concentrating on Renaissance art. While visiting the Palazzo Gondi, across the street from the Palazzo Vecchio, I was attracted to the beautiful, wavy glass in the ancient windows. I saw the Palazzo Vecchio through them and decided that the sun, the position of the palazzo and the dreamy undulation of the glass meant this would be a beautiful picture.
